temperature indication stickers on burgundy labels

I have several bottles of red burgundy that have a small circular temperature indication sticker on the bottles. Does anyone know how these indicators react and to what temperatures?

and no pictures of mood rings please, you know who you are. neener

Are you talking about Ponsot?

Alas, I am not. Serafin 1ers and I think there were some on the Faiveley 1ers.

the Ponsot ones won’t react even if the bottles are put in a 350 degree oven for an hour. I have done that, with empties, of course.

+1, the 03 version didnt work and the 09 didn’t do much better.

Actually I used to boil off my labels to save. The Ponsot dot turned black. Funny, when the label cooled off, it turned back to red. Useful, I guess if when you’re checking the wine it is in a boiling pot of water. I never knew that Serafin or Faively used them.

And, shhh about Serafin. No one talks about them on this BB. Let’s keep it that way.

My mistake not Faiveley, it is Comte Armand and some other producer
