Bordeaux! And indeed…I am passe and unfashionable in other areas of my life as well.

High acid wines–fine. Highly tannic wines–not so much.

I’m definitely a diversity guy when it comes to wine. I’m more excited to discover the new, obscure and different than to accumulated a lot of the couple things I like the best. I tend to buy 3 or fewer bottles of most things.

My tastes in food are that way, as well. I’d rather eat 14 different things for breakfast the next two weeks than the same thing every day or almost every day. And I’d rather some of those 14 are different than what I’ve had before, or have had very often.

I think it’s a reflection of who I am. Not in a better or worse kind of way, but I really like diversity and variety in my life (though just one woman is fine, in case you’re reading, sweetheart!). I like to travel different places, do different things, meet a lot of different people, etc.

I totally respect that other people would rather have a few close friends and spend all their time with them, or have one or two places they go every year to vacation, or figure out what their favorite region and producers are and just drink those. But that isn’t how I’m wired. My biggest fear is all the things I won’t have gotten to do before I die.

Health nut? You obviously don’t know me.

The blood of my enemies.

…and Campari.

Sweet wines only – but an incredible diversity within. icewine, Sauternes, Port, late harvests, stickies, German Riesling, Tokaji, etc.

I reluctantly admit taking a liking to dry Pinot Noir and sparkling wine as well. Not sure of what has caused this anamoly or what it says about me.

Black coffee, green tea, and any red or white wine made by someone who cared what it tasted like when they made it.

Do you mostly like romantic books and movies with happy and uplifting endings? Do you have pictures of puppies and kittens all over your house and office? Do you eat lots of desserts?

You’re a Texas Longhorn!!!

Sort of a male version of this person?

Well, um…

  1. I hate romantic books but as far as movies go… I almost cried at Disney’s Beauty and the Beast during the scene where Belle tearfully tells the dying Beast that she loves him – causing my little nieces to give me a “WTF? It’s just a kid’s movie Uncle Tran” look. [whistle.gif]

  2. No pictures of puppies and kittens. Only my nieces and nephews. I am Asian. We have a term for puppies and kittens that I believe in English rough translates to “dinner.” [stirthepothal.gif] Way to reinforce those Asian stereotypes even more than Fu and his wine and cola cocktails…

  3. I not only eat lots of desserts, I make a ton of them as well.

What exactly are you implying here anyway, Seiber? And why are you conveniently skirting over and past my newfound love of the greatest soda in the world a.k.a. Champagne? [smileyvault-ban.gif]
