Truly a different story. I must also say that I am not sure that I have any Giacosas in my cellar that have punished me as badly as those two. By way of defense, that was my first and only taste of the 1996 Asili Riserva, and it was shut tighter than the Falletto. It was like a young grand cru Burgundy, except that it didn’t even smell of merde!
