Tonight after supper, we thought about our choices for finishers to have while watching the finale of the Tour de France. We decided after the rich, filling Phô to repeat last night’s dessert. Two more TJ’s Belgian Chocolate bars, milk for Carollee and dark for me. These were again enjoyed with a 2006 Susna Balbo Late-Harvest Mendoza Malbec ‘Vituoso’ - rich, ripe dark fruit, the oakiness moderated by the rich chocolate. It was very good with the relaxed lead-in to the Champs-Elysees. Then the finish around the Champs-Elysees, while we’re trying to stay awake.
