TdF, Chocolate, & Virtuoso

As we returned home after the lovely Muscadet tasting, we decided to have chocolate and late-harvest Malbec while watching the penultimate stage of the Tour de France, finishing on Mt. Ventoux. So I brought up from the cellar, a 2006 Susana Balbo Late-Harvest Malbec ‘Virtuoso’ from Mendoza, as well as two TJ’s Belgian Chocolate bars, milk for Carollee and 70% cocoa dark for me, let them approach room temperature as we started watching the race (via TiVo). The warmed wine and chocolate was much better than directly out of the cellar. It made an enjoyable evening, watching Lance maintain his position overall, and having the wine and chocolate.
