I find them unbearably oaky, to the point wood tannin is prominent when young.
Never had an aged example so I’d be happy to hear about older wines and integration.

Pretty sure they were devotees of Accad and it has taken a long time to transition away from that. Generally have found them foursquare but I’ve really just had a couple of the village bottlings and the Charmes from a few vintages.
Funny you ask this…drinking an '08 Chambolle village at the moment. I think the Taupenot style is pretty square and buit to age, I’ve had a few of their wines over the last couple of years and I don’t think they’re too oaky or even “oaky” at this point. I pretty much dig the style, honestly.
