Tasty China--Kicking it Szechaun Style in ATL 'Burbs

Last night, about 15 ATLers gathered for another szechuan feast at Tasty China in Marietta, GA. Tasty was put on many of our maps by Hardy, who was there in spirit last night. Tasty is an experience unto itself; it’s worth seeking out if you are ever in the area.

Several berserkers were there; they can out themselves here if they choose.

The food was as ridiculous as always. Just defies description in a lot of ways. We ate and ate and ate. The fried pork belly is perhaps the star. So good, Liotta demanded a second, maybe it was the third order, as we closed out the night.

There was a shitload of bottles open, too. I can’t begin to list or describe them all.

Some pics of the food and festivities below.

Good to see you all again.

Dry Fry Spicy Eggplant

White Fish and Tofu in Chili Oil

Insanely Spicy Shin Citi Chicken

Fried Beans, Garlic, Chili Oil

Bbq Duck, Chilies, Peanuts–KILLER

Beef Tongue

MeatHead!

Tony Soprano.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll have to drag the family out there one evening. What is the BYOB policy?

Free. But it’s also BYOG.

And corkscrew…

Best Tasty China moment…we are rocking out with who knows what…and another table walks in with a case of Yuengling and a couple of mags of yellowtail.

And then they asked if they could have a dump bucket like ours!!!

No Tony Soprano in the video.
Rowdy is a master on the camera.

Celebs dont like to be seen…

Rowdy’s video really captures the spirit of the evening.
That fried pork belly was again a semi-religious experience.
Great time guys.

That was a really well done video!

Next time you all go I’d love to join.

Brad…shoot me an email or PM with your email in it and I’ll get get you on the list for the next time we head there.

sign me up as well. looks like a blast.

Good news: http://www.atlantacuisine.com/2010/03/peter-chang-is-back/

Pretty clear to me where we need to meet up next

Chang is back…but I dont imagine he will be there for long…he isn’t cooking in the kitchen. He was looking for a new restaurant spot to open but has been unlucky in finding one currently (or the deal with the space they were looking at has fallen through).
