I might have to go crack one since we are still celebrating Beserkerfest with Mr & Mrs. The Todd, Van, etc etc & pizza tonight
Tell them to get their sorry asses over here, and to put up a Berserker Exclusive…that is, IF they want to sell some wines…
Jim Brennan: Bill Tex Landreth:After funning around, we went up to the caves to taste some wines…all from barrel.
What kind of barrel… 12 gauge shotgun like in his photos, or something bigger like a 105mm?

Yoni, do you know the difference between the front and back?

Another Petit fan here. It’s not everyday the Petit Sirah is the head turner especially next to some damn nice Cabs and Bordeaux blends.

Finally, that day for me ended with a stop at http://www.pottwine.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; up on mount veeder. Again all of the wines were simply fantastic. I would say the cab franc could be the best one I have ever tasted from california. simply a stellar wine; can’t wait to drink some.
One thing we heard on the trail that day from everyone is the quality of the 08 wines for many are on par with the 07’s and to date from what I have tasted I would have to agree.
I agree 100% with everything said here.
I will be back as well to revisit all of these wines in October.
Michael,
Fair enough, I agree with you on the 2000 Cab. Did not taste the PN.
Steve E,
I agree, that many of the wines we had were VERY disappointing. Especially, the FUto, Grace and Abreu. All garbage on that night. But the GH for me was AMAZING, as it was for many people that night. Araujo was a distant second. Merus was very good and the best “QPR.”
I am still convinced that when wine #6 was revealed as Ghost Horse, people were disappointed. When it was just wine #6, it was considered sensational nearly unanimously.

Names please. I am putting together a list and need those names…
I remember being mentally exhausted from all the fail and just happy to have an espresso and an express bus-ride home…
BTW, I myself never wavered, great is great is great.
Yoni, are you compensating?
I love that Charlie puts a copyright symbol on his pics. It’s SO very Charlie…

I had the Ghost Horse and Merus as a coin flip, but was disappointed in the showing of the Merus. The '05 was not in the class of other Merus I had had in the past. I didn’t think any of the wines that night were “sensational”. FWIW, I skipped on the next offering of Merus after that dinner.
I have tasted with the `other’ Todd, and I can tell you it was a wee bit different from the experiences with THE Todd that have been related here. Not necessarily better or worse. But different.
I’m very impressed, most joking aside, that Cris Wetrock was so impressed with the wines… for one who usually hates most big, cultish wines, this is a huge compliment.
Yoni, are you compensating?
That is The Todd’s Gun and I’m standing in front of The Todd’s car. Just sayin’

Please ask Van if he got my message Carrie.
Jack, I took the liberty of uploading a better version of your avatar - this one is more crisp (like Santana DVX) and not scrunched up.
Well thank you Sir Todd, poor Yoni doesn’t need to be more scrunched up than
he already is.

I’m confused…which The Todd are we talking about here? Are they one in the same?
Is that a split screen photo?
