Does anyone think it is a small sign that the fine wine market, at least for some of these producers, is softening?
Not really. I think more people want to spread their budget to more styles/wineries than many mailing lists permit. Getting six bottles of six wines twice a year quickly means I (hypothetical) and spending an awful lot of time with just one winery.
