Subscribers...so...whatcha buyin'??

Oh, come on, Peter - I had you pegged to take over BD Champ from Mike Evans this year!

ha ha ha … [berserker.gif]

damage already done: Veleta, Gabriel

lashed to the mast but willpower fading: meat, Green, Balanced, a few others

The only wine acquisitions I should be engaging in is getting cases that, you know, I already bought from storage. It’ll be an act of idiocy when I go back for another perusal of the listings…

jean edwards 3 pack…so far!

Deadline day, so no time to really look, yet. Sheila has been keeping me informed. Tonight, some tough decisions have to be made…

Buy Pete, buy!

go away … neener

What about the auctions, here they are great this year [snort.gif]

So far I have been pretty well restrained. So far beef is king… Grabbed 7 12 oz 30 day NY Strips and 3 8 oz Wagyus from Bryan. Also grabbed a the Berserker IX 4 pack from Sandler. Will grab a few more offers tonight and tomorrow.

Flannery is selling too much. I might have to prevent them from participating next year, so people have money for wine! neener

[quote=“Jonathan Sirot” Will grab a few more offers tonight and tomorrow.[/quote]

i thought all offers shut down after a certain time… and then re-opens tomorrow…

i forget when it shuts down… but i’m sure there’s a FAQ that covers this question…

Early purchase stops at 8pm PT in the thread subject next to this one…

Finally had a moment to free up and snagged both offers from Sandler. Easy peasy.

My wife is “shopping” in the preview forum right now. That always results in a few requests in addition to the stuff I want.

Loring
Sandler
Franny Beck
Vincent
Wilde Farms

Plan on grabbing a couple more offers tonight and more tomorrow.

Sandler Pinot’s and Gabriel-Glas 6 pack of Standard. Great offers.

Add Sojourn to my list

Well, if anyone is interested in a way to save $ on BD purchases, I have a fool proof one…move to MA! I’ve already been shut out of two offers I was interested in because of our stupid laws. I know, I know, I should get my priorities straight and move! But I was able to secure some beloved Tercero rose and I’m trying out Flannery meats for the first time.

On a different note, in a separate thread a while back (maybe BD17?) there was discussion about trying to mark our BD purchases in CT. Is anyone still doing that? If so, how?

Torn between old favorites and trying new things … I have a very long list and keep changing my mind.

I don’t dare look at the work I did today … my mind was definitely on wine not work!

I list the store as BerserkerDay IX as a way to track my purchases.

Something old, something new.

I think everyone should purchase at least one new offer every year. The reason?

The WB community has always been about personal experience, preferences, and expanding the palate.

Small producers making great wine and blazing their own path. We support that effort and they appreciate it.

Harrington as example #1.

Even people like Loring, wildly successful now. Does he really need to be blowing stuff out at 50% off? Hell, no. But 10-15 years ago he was a guy with a crazy passion making wine in the ghetto.

Yep - certainly some of my favorite wines were new surprises at a Berserker Day … but of course, with all the great offers, it’s still hard to pick!
