lashed to the mast but willpower fading: meat, Green, Balanced, a few others
The only wine acquisitions I should be engaging in is getting cases that, you know, I already bought from storage. It’ll be an act of idiocy when I go back for another perusal of the listings…
So far I have been pretty well restrained. So far beef is king… Grabbed 7 12 oz 30 day NY Strips and 3 8 oz Wagyus from Bryan. Also grabbed a the Berserker IX 4 pack from Sandler. Will grab a few more offers tonight and tomorrow.
Well, if anyone is interested in a way to save $ on BD purchases, I have a fool proof one…move to MA! I’ve already been shut out of two offers I was interested in because of our stupid laws. I know, I know, I should get my priorities straight and move! But I was able to secure some beloved Tercero rose and I’m trying out Flannery meats for the first time.
On a different note, in a separate thread a while back (maybe BD17?) there was discussion about trying to mark our BD purchases in CT. Is anyone still doing that? If so, how?
I think everyone should purchase at least one new offer every year. The reason?
The WB community has always been about personal experience, preferences, and expanding the palate.
Small producers making great wine and blazing their own path. We support that effort and they appreciate it.
Harrington as example #1.
Even people like Loring, wildly successful now. Does he really need to be blowing stuff out at 50% off? Hell, no. But 10-15 years ago he was a guy with a crazy passion making wine in the ghetto.
