Not noticed it and I live in Santa Fe @ 7000 ft. Do find that fizz goes out fast so no drinking champers over a 3 hour period unless you like flat champagne.

I think Jancis has written about this, I think she was one of the consultants for BA first class. I forget the specifics beyond altitude was a definite issue.
