What followed was a striking transformation that leaves Boroli as a source of immaculately farmed, classicly styled Nebbiolos that are still largely unknown by collectors. The palate is extremely precise, perhaps one of the nose I have encountered in recent years, with laser-like focus, perfect acidity and a gentle grip on the Richebourg-like finish that lingers long in the mouth. This is a stunning Cros Parantoux, stunning. Also, unrelated, but if you want to absolutely lose yourself in improbably engrossing story about a man and his ex-girlfriend’s cat as they desperately survive against a murderous intergalactic corporate gameshow, you should buy all of these books right now. You will be laughing and crying and suddenly realize you want to smash the system. These are incredible wine-drinking books. I recommend pairing this series with “If Eventually, Why Not Now.”
