2005 Domaine Bernard Baudry Chinon Les Grézeaux - France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Chinon (2/12/2014)
Old world all of the way. This wine screams earth, mineral and dark fruit. So pure and clean only the way Baudry can produce. I really like this wine. -
2007 Freiherr Langwerth von Simmern Hattenheimer Nußbrunnen Riesling Kabinett - Germany, Rheingau (2/12/2014)
Lychee, stone fruits on nose. Fresh fruit spilled over a rocky mountain stream on palate. Very long aftertaste and adequate acidity. Drinking very well now but sure to evolve with time. -
2011 Deovlet Chardonnay - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Barbara County (2/12/2014)
Another California winemaker that gets it. Restrained fruit but plenty rich, salty, seaspray, smooth with no hard edges. No doubting this is California but oh so good.
