That does not suck.
Flannery Dry Aged Wagyu Rib Caps for dinner tomorrow night with Philip and Bowden.
Wow…uhhhhh…our wines are better.
I wouldn’t say that…
Really.
Tell us what you are cracking open.

Yep, 1996, good stuff. By far the best of the Rhones tonight. We also cracked the 2001 Behrens & Hitchcock Petite Sirah which was a heavy dose of fruity goodness. Steve said a he was put off by a little acetone but I liked it.
A good night of steak and wines. I’d say a dead heat between the Bryan’s and Snake River. Completely different flavor profiles. That’s not being a Sally but they really were great in their own rights.
I would imagine it difficult to compare different cuts…how is the 01 VT…I just took possession of a larger format bottle and wonder how its doing.

Actually quite boring. Nothing really significant on the nose or palate. As soon as the cork was pulled it smelled really nice but it just became monotone after that. There’s still 3/4 of a bottle left. Not one of the better VT’s IMO.
