That is a strange package. That it says “Kobe” on the sticker is just the tip of the iceberg, but “American Style Wagyu” presents a whole different set of questions.

We have gone round and round with the “Kobe” moniker, so I’ll skip.

This is domestic black Wagyu sourced from Snake River Farms or Imperial Wagyu. By law it has to be at least 50% Wagyu to be able wear the label. Most is 62.5% or better.

Just confusing! I didn’t know if “American Style Wagyu” was a way of getting around the rule. Not like I wouldn’t eat one :sweat_smile:.
