I’ve got rehearsal at Disney Hall this Friday, ending at 5:30, and since I have no interest in hitting the 5 freeway at rush hour on a Friday, I figured I’d grab a bite in the downtown area. Anyone want to do a mini-offline, and open some bottles?

Must confirm with the wife, but I think I can do an early dinner around 6pm or so in DTLA. Me + you = man date <3. Once we figure out the amount of people I can find us a place to eat that’s casual and tasty.

Very true, however, I’m just looking for 1-2 people to join me in a quick and early dinner, not planning an offline. If its just me and you, Fu, I couldn’t be more blessed, as you know. Ideas for where? (will help determine what style of wine to bring)

Thinking a lil outside the box but there is an awesome Korean sashimi place on the outskirts of ktown. They kill the fish and slice it up. No corkage.

Also starry kitchen in Chinatown (less than half a mile from where you will be) does really good food as well. Pretty wine friendly Asian fusiony food.

Both Chinatown and Koreatown were squarely in my target, as that’s where I normally eat when I’m up there.

Will do. It looks like I can’t quite easily swing light rail from the Westside to the location and would have to drive. Recommendations on best place to park near the restaurant?
