I was that way a couple months ago. Highly recommend dinner at Alte Pfarrey in Neuleiningen!
Thanks Doug, will have a look at the website.
The cliche is that St. Martin draws so many tourists from it’s beauty that the Weingüter there need not produce good wines to sell them. That pretty much sums it up. Moll is worth a visit though for the bizarre (by German Standards) grape varieties -Semillion, Merlot, Frühroter Veltliner…among others.
For great wine though, you’ll need to go elsewhere -in fact, almost anywhere else in the Pfalz.
Cheers,
Bill
Thanks Bill, my friends always stay in St. Martin and speaks highly about the town and the producers. I have only tasted a few Riesling from local producer and they seem good, but no Expert in German wines.
Can see you live in Pfalz, any good restaurants there?
