I can’t be of much help but i went last Dec with my wife and 2yr old, so we mainly stayed on the hotel beach.
My dad was working in St Lucia for 3 months, so i basically let my parents tell us what to do.
My thoughs are
- its beautiful (mountains, beaches, crazy narrow roads, pitons, historical buildings)
- really nice people
- great diving
- good food
- you can do some good day trips Montserrat etc.
I wish I could give you more details but we had a great time, I would go again.
We went in early December 2 years ago. Rented a villa just outside of Soufriere near the rear entrance to the Anse Chastanet resort. We spent a large amount of our time just sitting by the pool and relaxing. Here are a few thoughts/impressions:
Absolutely beautiful scenery
Good snorkeling (and I assume diving)
Villas are fairly reasonably priced and usually have staff (cook, maid, etc)
Cities (at least Soufriere) don’t feel unsafe, but expect to be pan-handled and to see a fair amount of poverty
Traveling on the island takes some time as many roads are narrow and windy
All that said, it was a memorrable trip and I’d highly recommend it.

Relax around the pool, hike, dive, snorkel, eat well.?

Oh man. Vacation of my life. We stayed at Ti Kaye Village for 6 nights and 2 nights at the nearly completed Jade Mountain at a bargain before their rates went into the “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” plateau.
Ti Kaye is great if you really want to get away as it is remote and quiet. Jade Mountain was unbelievable. We went during the Christmas holiday season. Weather was perfect.
Haven’t been in 12 years, but absolutely loved the island. Stayed mostly around Marigot Bay and stayed at the Great House. Highly recommend it.
