Spring Mountain New Year

We are bringing in the New Year with Spring Mountain wines…my favorite appellation in Napa Valley and these wines support this belief:

  1. 1985 Togni Cabernet – What a wine….classic Togni herbs with cassis, plum and spice. I still have a magnum…so I am ecstatic to taste this wine again in 2025…drink now or age another 10-20 years!

  2. 1995 Barnett Cabernet Sauvignon – All three Spring Mountain wines are drinking great tonight. Spice, Herbs, Oak and tannins yet ready to enjoy.

  3. 2005 Paloma Merlot – The wine of night….unreal richness, acid, great finish. Surprised that this is my favorite, but the richness, spice and tannin are in perfect balance. This wine will easily last another 10 years. The Richards picked the perfect spot for Merlot on Spring Mountain.

Happy New Year!

Had a 98 Sherwin cab on Xmas. Was really in a great place. One of the better 98s.
