Cheers,
Unfortunately there is not a whole lot there. On a trip about 6 months ago, I researched all of the restaurants and Evan’s (http://www.evanstahoe.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) was highly recommended on Chowhound. The meat eaters in the group liked their meals better than us vegetarians, but they still were not overwhelmed.
The Summit restaurant at Harrah’s was always a top restaurant there when I was a kid (I grew up in Reno). Their menu looks alright and I might give it a try.
I definitely suggest bringing your own wines, as there is not much there.
If you don’t mind a drive, I think there are some better food options in the North Shore, specifically Plumpjack Cafe at Squaw Valley.
Steamers on the N shore has some of the best pizza I have had in CA. Unfortunately most of the food in S lake isnt impressive.
if you find an oasis in that desert let us know.
I had dinner at Evan’s a few years back. Nice ambiance, decent food. Nothing to get overly excited about, but probably the best complete package in S. Tahoe.
Dig a hole in the ground and have Bryan drop ship you a rib cap.
Take a trip to the north shore for lunch at Gar Woods. Sitting on the deck with a pitcher of wet woody’s is the best thing ever!!
Beware of the Wet Woody Rock Hard style!

get in your car and drive to napa.
Haven’t been in awhle but our favorite in the past is the Sage Room at Harvey’s.
I’ll second that - both Lunch and Dinner are worth the drive, especially when compared to what’s available in South Lake.
