Being organic or biodynamic doesn’t mean that you don’t spray. It means you spray more often, using only a small range of contact products that need to be reapplied after around 20-25mm of rainfall. That can easily add up to 20 successive treatments and over 5kg of copper per hectare.

I think it’s important that people understand this.

Wait a second - is this something to be concerned about? Copper sulfate is poisonous. The lethal dose can be quite small, like 20 grams or something. 5kg of copper sulfate is a lot. I realize a hectare is pretty large, like a couple of football fields, but still…it could add up
