So Cal 909 School Feb 18th. 3 spots open.

Howdy folks!

We have spots open for our next school events Jan 27 and Feb 18

If you are not familiar with the program, Cal Poly Pomona has a student run restaurant. They have been giving us the VIP treatment with our own room, no corkage, etc. Its actually a really pretty building and location.

The students run the restaurant for 10 weeks and in that time they are hosts, cooks, waitstaff and even dishwashers.

There are only two adults that are part of the school, the main host and main chef.

We have really been enjoying this experience. The only bummer is its not open on the weekend.

So, it might be a haul, but, usually we have people heading from many locations. You are also more than welcome to show up early and hang out at my house. Nice to have a place that finally has the room for that!

Here is the menu: http://www.rkr.csupomona.edu/menu.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And here is more about the school: http://www.rkr.csupomona.edu/about_us.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

So, if you are interested in attending or getting on the email I send out, let me know!

Woo-hoo, can’t wait for school again…I can’t believe I just said that, I hated school. At least the alcohol is far better this time around [dance-clap.gif]

Hey - cannot make the 27th as I will be in Oregon, but the Feb 18th is wide open. Sign Clara and me up. FINALLY!!!

Well, I think it was unanimous with the gang last night. Probably one of the best meals we had there and a great new menu! (which is not posted on their site yet)

They will be closed most of March, so, if you are thinking of joining us, let me know!

Great food…and some stellar wines to boot [thankyou.gif]

Can’t wait for the next one. I just hope someone doesn’t forget again. I won’t mention any names, but darn those wet rocks. neener

Hey, I’d like to check out this school! Please count me in!

We have had some cancellations, so, the school will be a little smaller than planned.

Still looking forward to seeing the gang as well as some new attendees!

I’m very bummed to have missed this. but I’m still hobbling around with my injuries that are slowly getting better. I hope everyone had a good time!

Great time!! Thanks L. for organizing. Loved my Barrel 27 High on the Hog white blend, was “bleh” on my 2002 Darioush Cab, liked the Paloma 2003 Merlot a lot, liked the Larkin Cab Franc and Carlisle (vineyard???) Syrah a lot too.
Sorry about Arnie’s stewed tomato wine. Food - [ken.gif]
See you next one. [winner.gif]
