We drive on most trips to Europe and we will on this one as well as we plan to hit a few cities in Slovenia. I am not sure if the Vrscic path will be open in April but if it, it is on our list for sure!

If anyone went or knows or has input, how have you handled tipping here? There is nothing in their FAQ and while I know tipping is not expected per se, I am typically leaving 10% tip at the restaurants we have been to so far in Slovenia based on what I have read.
Is that kind of tip expected here? If so, what if €400 of the bill is wine?
