It’s nice to see SN staying on the cutting edge. I have enjoyed all the 30th anniversary line this year.

This should be interesting. I hope they don’t go overboard with the malts like Avery did with their Maharaja.

100 IBU, 10.4 ABV.
I may have to wait until at least January 2nd before I try it.

I cant wait to try this one. At 100 IBU it’s right there with the Stone Ruinination that I love. The Stone however is not over 10% ABV like the SNH is. Just have to find a place in LA/OC that has some of this limited stuff.

On tap at a few places here (so I’ve heard), hopefully I’ll get a chance to try some today.

I saw it on the shelf at the local market today: $9 / 22 oz. I picked up something for $4 instead.

Awesome! Thanks for the link, but unfortunately with them charging me $20 for shipping, it takes it out of my price range, I am not quite ready to spend $40 on two bombers…

had this last weekend; holy crap, this beer is awesome. pure liquid hoppiness. although it is boozier than i’d prefer, it comes across more like 8.0 or 8.5 than it does 10.4. if you don’t like “overhopped” beers, then skip this one.

I saw this at Total Wine last week but passed because it was $11. That’s even more expensive than their 30th beers. Now you are making me reconsider.

$11 is kinda tough. I think I paid $8 or $9 at Beverage Warehouse – sadly, only one location. If my rough description of the beer has you thinking, I’ll tell ya this: you won’t be disappointed in the beer — not at all. Can’t say whether you’re going to be happy having paid $11 for it, though; it’s simply an excellent DIPA - an excellent DIPA; nothing more, nothing less.

As a reference point, I won’t be buying it again; even $8 or $9 for a bomber is too much for this beer given that I can get so many close approximations for significantly less.

Grabbed a bottle today from my local market for $7.

I really like the beer, gorgeous color and fruit profile. Color is a dark amber orange with the slightest red tinge. Very red fruited on the palate, some orange blossom, citrus fruit, blood orange oil with pronounced hoppy flavours on the finish. A bit hoppy on the back end, nice creamy mouthfeel with good acid. Doesn’t get to fat or creamy but the beer is very rich and flavourful. A bit boozy and over hopped IMO but a nice beer overall.

I finally found some at my indie booze shop here in town, 11.99 a pop so I grabbed just one to see if it was worth the hype. In a sense yes,great flavor, balance and just a hop bomb that did not seem like a 10+ on the abv scale. Will look elsewhere for better pricing as I would like to revisit this one.

Had one the other night, rather disappointed. I’d rather have a Hopslam or Founders Double Trouble.

Did not enjoy.
Hops, hops, and more hops pummel all other flavors off the palate. They may exist, but you can’t discern them over the cacophony of hops.
Also, this beer’s alcohol is so high that the hoppiness seems more astringent and angular.
Just one opinion.

I have no doubt. It’s everything the hop-hungry crowd wants in a beer.
