When the wife & sister-in law are done w/ yoga, w are headed over the hill to do the circuit. I’m thinking Siduri first (I’ll be wearing a gawd-awful orange floral print shirt w/ wooden buttons), then over to Carlisle. Anyone else going to be in the hood?
Where is the jealousy icon? As opposed to you, I think I will clean up dog sh#t and remove the season’s tomato plants. I think my day has much more thrill than yours. DAMN IT!

We’re getting ready to leave Fremont, be at Carlisle first, then Siduri. I’ve got on my Pat Metheny navy fleece pullover ![]()
Alan, you TOO? DAMN IT TWICE.

Frank – I just remembered that I have your cell phone… maybe I’ll send you text updates. Please feel free not to reciprocate. ![]()
Alan – I’ll look for you. I’ll be the ugly guy with two lovely young ladies on each side, probably caressing his first Carlisle mag like a precious newborn.
I’m thinking of heading over that way…only made it to Dehlinger and Copain yesterday. The Copain Tous Pinot has to be the deal of the century.
I guess I could drive in from Fremont too. Unfortunately the Fremont I live in is 800 miles away.
This will be the first Carlisle PU weekend i’ve missed in several years. (Dropped the Siduri/Novy a few years ago, and started picking up my futures from Kathleen Inman that weekend instead) But it was always nice to taste, with Jay and Mike pouring at least 1 barrel sample, and more importantly one or two older wines. Great to have the check in on the older stuff.
Reminds me that we had our last bottle of 03 RRV Syrah last night. Still took a good hour of splash decant to really start to open up.
If I had more time (but really, more money) I’d go to Copain. I like them too much to get any closer than I am today.
Totally agree - currently $25 right? Bought a mixed case (w Tous Syrah) at the winery in March and got it for $24 (and the syrah for $16!!).
$25 is correct.
