shipping wine to France

I have a friend who needs to ship a small quantity of wine to France. What would his best course of action be? Any recs for shipping services? Thanks in advance.

it’s cheapest to send it thru Newcastle neener

There’s going to be a lump in your stocking. My friend had a great tour guide on a recent trip there. He wants to send him two bottles of wine as a thank you gift.

These people are well-known, reliable, and professional.
They also do small quantities:

How about the reverse, France to US?

check it on your flight back, you can bring up to two cases of 750ml back duty free IIRC

Unless your friend insists on sending US wine to France as a thank you, wouldn’t it be easier to have a local store in France (say, a Nicholas) deliver a wine gift instead?

NICE PLUS!

The choice of California wine in France is pretty poor.

Presumably, the wines to be shipped were personally selected and hard to find, even in America.

Shipping French wine to America? You would know more about that that me!
However, when it comes to importing and distributing wines and spirits, the United States is fifty different countries!

All the best,
Alex

Thanks Alex, I’ll pass along that lead.

Shipping Wine is a great idea. I like to send out some wine gift baskets myself but never overseas at least so far. How expensive is that?
