Had the 8th a couple weeks ago. Thought it had some slightly sour and decayed red fruit and somewhat of a bitter tart finish. No obvious use of oak. Not a bad wine but nothing to get excited about. $15 in Ohio.
I just opened a bottle of the Seventh Cuvee last night and I noticed something I didn’t remember from a previous bottle. There seems to almost be a tingly sensation on the tongue, almost like a slight effervescence. It seems to be barely noticeable the second day. Has anyone else noticed this? As I don’t recall this from a previous bottle maybe it’s something with the particular bottle. If so what would cause this?
I have had a few bottles of the Seventh and never noticed it.
