This website is challenging to post photos. No idea if all the wines we had are depicted.

Ok several wines are not depicted . I tried

Thanks George. I counted 31 wines total toward the end. Lots of Winners!

Great time for Arlene and I. Hope you do it again, we’ll be there if we are home and not traveling.

Thanks for spotting the TCA in the 1985 Eglise Clinet so that I could advise people to get some now before it gets worse. It was very much worth drinking for me until later when it was undrinkable even for me. Possibly my favorite wine there although the Dugat-Py improved a ton.

The Enemigo 2012 was perfectly balanced. The Chateau d’Ampuis 2003 was not overripe, barely, but it was so polished as to be boring. The 2008 Dom Perignon was definitely an off bottle. My overall verdict is, I need to open all bottles I bring the day before. Great bottles are being almost wasted by not having opened up before they are tasted, and flawed bottles are hard to read upon opening . I’m disappointed how slowly I am learning this lesson.

Superb tasting as usual, and a wide range of stuff…as usual

I had a bit of an off-palate day, I was tasting more tannins in wine than I usually do. Quick notes:

'85 Eglise Clinet being corked made Baby Jesus cry.
'98 Vieux Donjon was a nice secondary characteristics CdP, but I wouldn’t push them too much further
'14 Robin St. Joseph was a lovely little thing, reminding me again how much I love that appelation
'08 Dom on reflection was indeed a compromised bottle. Fine on the attack into mid-palate, but turned unfocused on the finish. The Le Brun Cuvee Tradition turned a lot of heads, is on the sweeter side, and a terrific buy from K&L at $35.
'02 Aquilon was a fun experience, thanks to George for that
'03 Ravenswood Merlot showed remarkably well. Maybe the eye-opener of the day.
Enjoyed the Birichino and Dehlinger Pinots, as well as the Lutum which I’d never had before but will now seek out.
'00 Dugat-Py Charmes-Chambertin was my WOTD, but I got to it after 2 hours of aeration which apparently it needed.

That’s all I can remember offhand, looking forward to the next one

Agree the 00 Dugat-Py was my wine of the day.

Correction the Ravenswood merlot was a '93. I was also pleased by that bottle and have about 8 others from the library sale.
