Belated to post per the email thread so taking survey of the SF/East Bay folks for a meet up in June. We don’t need to stick to Great China, the one we all did at YH-Beijing was a favorite of many of us. Shoot a comment here or by DM, I can either create a S/S and share it here or directly.
Wouldn’t mind it in SF. Great China is fine, but tough on a weeknight (evening commute).
YH-Beijing is great. I’ve attended many gatherings at Taishan Cuisine (Broadway location). We have a regular crew that goes. @Yule_Kim is in the group. Always no corkage. Just bring stems and corkscrews. It’s in the Chron’s Top 100 restaurant list.

Count me in! As a peninsula dweller I’m inclined to prefer SF, but I’m fond of Great China for sure.

Right on, let’s do SF this time and @Larry_Stein that’s a great suggestion - I’ll add locale suggestions to the S/S. Dates…looking at any Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday or Thursday from June 7th and on. Taishan Cuisine sounds perfect if that is good by all - open to suggestions too.

I’m asking my usual suspects as to how many can fit comfortably at Taishan’s largest round table. I’m taking multiple glasses for each person into consideration as part of the equation.

@erinmcgrath, hold off on making the res.
One of the folks coming @Yao_C’s +1 is a native speaker (originally from Hong Kong). They know him well and 90% of the time, he makes our res. Very helpful for that as well as at the restaurant when we’re ordering.
I think 12 is max for a table, however, he might be able to arrange something with them if we have more.
Coincidentally, I’ll be seeing both of them tonight.
