Linkis to an article in today’s Los Angeles Times…
An attempt to make the Pinot more Burgundian?
Ah, terroir.
This thread is hilarious, even with the stutter.
What a crappy story.
Are there “crappy” in the Russian River?
No, but there are some brown trout now.
FYI Gurneville is downstream of most if not all RRV winemaking.
Killjoy
C’Mon folks. Bob’s a good friend of mine. I’d like him to post here more often.
Cut him some slack.
Tom
Russian River finally has enough water to flow all the way into the ocean and what do those people do? Shit all over the seals.
In honor of Bob Wood, that is pretty shitty.
Sounds Biodynamic.
100,000 gallons of sewage and “biologists” found no environmental impact? Sounds like they’re not looking in the right place.
Gurneville? Really? Man - you live here.
This is just the cover story. Actually, it was a spill of unsold Apothic Red, being dumped into the Russian River, glassful by glassful, under cloak of darkness and, of course, cloak of the Apothic Black Stemless Glass…
Thread has been cleaned up…no pun intended.
When the river is flowing at 10,000 cubic ft/min there is no environmental issue along the river if there is a spill. Jenner though, that’s a whole nother story.
Right now the Russian River is running at over 2,000 cubic ft/second. 100,000 gallons is roughly 13,000 cubic feet. Probably not significant.

Yeah, It’s probably good this spill didn’t happen before the river reloaded with this last big storm.
