Season in South Florida

No real food restrictions for Laurie or I but there are things we don’t love like scallops. As for wine, I’ll likely bring two older reds and perhaps some bubbly.

Did anybody attend the BYOB event yesterday at Otto & Pepe? My lady and I had tickets, but we picked up a cold on Monday night watching the Canes and we’ve been slumped since Tuesday morning.

Should be all healed up by the 29th, though! No dietary restrictions from us.

I’ll most likely be bringing two 750s of 2005 Baumard Coteaux du Layon Clos de Ste Catherine, as our dessert wines.

PS - Mikko, glad you found someone to store your bottle. Sorry I couldn’t help last Friday!

Yes, I was there, it was smaller than previous events but fun, I really like the food there.

Happy Saturday everyone. I will post the menu tomorrow. I am changing my wine to an older Super Tuscan and a magnum of Rose. Can’t wait til Thursday

Cheers!!

Happy Monday everyone. Sorry for not putting the menu up yet but I am waiting for some feedback from the chef. It is looking $135 per person (tax and gratuity included) Zero Corkage and we will likely have a family style menus with appetizers - salad - mains - desserts. Trust me you will not be disappointed, I have zero affiliation with the restaurant other than the fact that my wife and I go all the time  As the saying goes Happy Wife…Happy Life!!

I will confirm the final menu and the $$ amount tomorrow

Do we have the entire restaurant to ourselves? Also, what time are we starting?

We do not have the entire restaurant to ourselves but we have a decent section carved off. Kickoff is at 7:45

Raul -

Where’s the best spot to park around the restaurant? Just street parking? Or are any of those lots behind those adjacent buildings acceptable?

Hi Jose - There is a decent amount of street parking but given the amount of wine I/We will be drinking I am Ubering :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow. Will likely be bringing two old Priorats that will pair well with the awesome menu and a few bottles of vintage bubbly as it has been FAR TOO LONG since this group got together!
