Search for 75's

Bordeaux’s are very firm with tannins from 1975.
I have tasted more than a few.
The best have been La Mission Haut Brion, Las Cases, Cheval Blanc and Petrus.
The Haut Brion is very good but tannic.
The Latour and Lafite are like little rocks.
The Lynch Bages is good but not one of the greats.
If I was you and wanted Bordeaux, I would bite the bullet for the Las Cases.
Sorry I am not more help.

This is the best Bordeaux wine from this vintage IMHO.

Great suggestions Thank you.
Looks like I have to do some searching to see what I can find.

75 Emidio Pepe is awesome and I am opening one tonight!

Robert, please post notes (or tweet stream of consciousness impressions)…

As have mine. And within price range, I think, if you can find them.

Just bought a few 75 Chateau Montrose.
The CT reviews looked positive.
Anyone had any experience with this wine?

Had the '75 LLC last week; a nice wine, but I’ve had bettter examples:

  • 1975 Château Léoville Las Cases - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Julien (6/18/2009)
Fill was into the neck and the cork was sound; opened about 1 hour prior to consumption. A ruby core turning to garnet at the rim. A rather subdued bouquet, with scents of cedary dark fruits, leather, earth and spice. Medium bodied, with a firm hand and structured backbone – as expected from a '75 northern medoc – yet with good focus and concentration; some astringency on the finish. I have had better bottles.
