Couldn’t agree more with your post, Rich.

We have some members of the Board who apparently like to buy wine, but not be SOLD wine.

Rob brings in, among other more “mainstream” producers:

  • Vaccelli from Corsica
  • Dirler-Cade from Alsace
  • Belluard from Savoie
  • Tissot from the Jura
  • Passopisciaro from Etna
  • Chappaz from Switzerland
  • Burklin-Wolf from the Pfalz

Now that doesn’t exactly read like a business model designed to maximize DTE’s “bottom line” - in fact, I’d go as far as to say if Rob wasn’t proselytizing for wineries like Vaccelli, buyers here in the states wouldn’t have access to any.

I guess some buyers like the Chambers Street approach and some like Rob’s approach - at the end of the day, the only thing important to me is that I have access to the wine. [cheers.gif]
