Very much not.
All these have been moved to the VinDependence Day forums
FYI, closing around 9pm Pacific tonight, everyone!!
Was the event considered a success? Worth the effort? What is the big picture takeaway from it?
Hey there. Some of us are still honoring these special prices until today
The VinDependence Day forum is offline, not visible to public anymoreā¦
Iāve heard privately from a few sellers, and can definitely say it was for them - hope it was for all, but thatās rarely the case.
True - but they can still visit the website and see them
- Definitely worth the effort. Very limited administration compared the berserkerday. Todd did 90% and Patrick and Suin the rest. I literally did nothing but answered a few questions
- Common winery comments about a nice little revenue bump in a typical slow time
- Quite a few new customers which is a bonus
So all good.
The disadvantage of this approach is that I bought a mixed case and can no longer remember whatās in itā¦
Mystery Case!
Will it ever be visible again (like BD threads)? Interested in seeing reactions to the offers when wine eventually ships etc.
Iāve reopened it for a few months, for commentary/notes, etc
We did an optional poll (unlike the required poll for BerserkerDay sellers) and with just barely over half the sellers contributing data (and neither of our beloved beef purveyors!) we sold around $260k, so, knowing those who didnāt submit data, and based on their past numbers provided, Iām guessing we did around $400k total, perhaps just shy of it, which is more than we sold on BerserkerDay VIII, and almost what we did on BerserkerDay IX. Sheesh.
Now the hope is that BerserkerDay 17 is not negatively impacted by this, though now Iām more confident it wonāt be, and, as such, perhaps a mid-year sale is the ticket each year!
Well, I am just one purchaser benefiting from these sales, however I pledge to remain in the fields, working them behind my mule, so that I can save up my pennies for the BD17!!
This is all but confirmed. Impressive response, Berserkers, truly. A true community helps its members when in need, and weāve proven so time and again with individuals, nonprofits, and even the industry itself, when suffering through a rough downturn like it currently is.
Well done, all, truly. Something to be proud of.
And for any of you LinkedIn folks out there, hereās a post made about the event. My ābossā (my wife!) pushes me to do more on LI so I have to comply
Been a long time since I posted anything to my LI account, but this is one definitely made the grade! Thanks, Todd!
Thanks, Terry!
