Last night after Jeff departed to meet a friend for drinks at El Meson, we had a 1988 Chateau de Fargues "Lur Saluces’ Sauternes with Old Chatham Sheep’s Milk Brie, Affinois Goat Brie, and mixed nuts. The total combination was enjoyable while watching a couple episodes of Bones (via TiVo). The Sauternes was dark yellow- brown in color; rich, ripe aged nose and and flavors of spicy, nutty, white fruits; adequate acidity, and a long, complex finish.
