A lovely dinner to celebrate my daughter’s Bat-Mitzvah. The birth year Seavey was a revelation wine.

2006 Domaine Des Moirots Christophe Denizot Montagny 1er Cru Le Vieux Chateau - France, Burgundy, Côte Chalonnaise, Montagny 1er Cru (12/5/2009)
Popped and poured, enjoyed over two hours. Lovely nose of lemon, lime and white flowers. Racy acidity, salinity coupled with bright tropical fruits. Very enjoyable bottle of wine. -
1996 Seavey Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon - USA, California, Napa Valley (12/5/2009)
Popped and poured, enjoyed over three hours. Black cherries and cocoa. Smoky. After 30 minutes, smoothed out and displayed subtlety and grace. An hour in, this was Napa at its finest, showing spice notes, tobacco and cedar intertwined with beautiful fruit. The evolution in the glass shows that this wine has a long life ahead. -
2005 Château de Beaucastel Côtes du Rhône Coudoulet de Beaucastel - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Côtes du Rhône (12/5/2009)
Popped, left open in bottle for an hour, drank over one. Still pretty tight, not revealing much. Have 1/2 bottle left under cork to enjoy with dinner this evening.
