Sashimi & Sake on a Thursday Night

Tonight’s dinner, on a cold evening with steadily increasing clouds, was sashimi - monkfish liver, eel, & pickeled mackeral with a couple sakes. We started with our leftover Rihaku ‘Wandering Poet’ and moved on to a Yaegaki 'Mu" Junmai Daiginjo Genshu. The Mu was much better than the last one we had. Tonight’s was a black label, the previous was a blue label. Tonight’s was much more complex and had a much longer finish. Both sakes were enjoyable with the three sashimis, but the Mu was was much better. We happily finished the bottle of Mu while watching a couple TiVo’d shows.
