"Sanity Returns to Bordeaux Pricing"

I would have to agree with John…the wines might drop a bit but “sane” levels for the big boys is a pipe dream. [swearing.gif] I am lucky enough to have a sufficient quantity to last me a “few” years.

So you like to be selective in whom you allow to gauge you? newhere

Right or wrong it does seem to matter. Plus if you buy consistently you can build sources with fair pricing.

If that is sane, I am never purchasing wine again.

I guess I am hapy I got into wine when I did. I have a decent amount of First growths in the cellar, and I know now that they will never be replaced. Once they are drunk, they are gone forever. 1996 LAfite for $200, 1996 Mouton for $133 which included tax and shipping. No one will ever be able to buy for similar kinds of prices ever again.

Look at the bright side: You have a lifetime supply of First Growths!
