Sandler Mailer is out

Any takers?

I’m in for a case and a half total.

The wines are…

08 Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot
08 Buck Hill Zin
08 Connell Vineyard Syrah - $20!!!
06 KAZARWIL Vineyard Dry Creek Cab

The pinot, zin, and cab all check in at $30 - free ground shipping.

The Syrah at $20 all in is quite a deal.
I’m intrigued by the Cab.
Thoughts on the Cab peeps?

Love these wines … the Syrah is a screaming deal. Wow. Love it. Gotta love Ed. … Haven’t had the Cab. I’d take a flyer at the price.

I bit for an 18 bottle assortment.

How many are for me? neener

You can have up tp 6…

1 cab
1 syrah
2 zin
2 pinot

Both boards, no one has tried the Cab.
Anyone? Buehler?

Wish I could help…one time project that Ed kept under the radar?

I will say, since there is no Sonoma Coast Pinot, I’ll be picking up some of the SLH Pinots. I opened the 2007 Roar SLH appellation blend and it was fantastic. More delicate and feminine than I would think from this region. I’m not a SLH fan for pinot, but after opening the Roar, I went looking for a few more. I have a hunch that as good as Ed has been with Rosella’s over the year, everything he makes from that AVA will be great.

We popped a bottle of the 2005 Sonoma Coast pinot with Thanksgiving dinner and were insanely pleased. It seemed apropos that the mailer came the next day. I will miss the S.C. this year but I have no doubt Ed will convert many SLH naysayers into believers…

We popped one last night and were equally thrilled.
Notes coming.

I really wish someone had tasted the Pinot. It’s actually the '07, or so the mailer states. But for $30 delivered it seems like a great deal considering all of the components.

I have had the Pinot quite a few times. Very very good and definitely worth $30. Discliamer: ed and I are good friends and I help at his winery from time to time

I’m ordering a few, just waiting for the CC to cycle to reset.

Tony,

Can you give any sort of TN’s on this wine. Doesn’t have to be anything elaborate, just anything to shed a little light?

Jeb - the wine is medium bodied, dark cherry fruit on the palate, a small sensation of minerality and a little earth. Doesn’t seem to have that tell tale SLH citrus/orangepeel character. Tight but good acid structure for me, so it requires a little air time to open up.

Definitely worth $30 all in with free ground shipping.
