Sandlands Winter 2026 Offer is out

Yep, he did explain how it eats some of the costs himself - and I will say that $63 to ship to Maryland is well below actual costs.

I hear you - and I can relate in that most of my wines are priced on the ‘lower end’. When you look at shipping costs as a percentage of the bill when wines are not priced at $100+, they seem quite high.

I guess to me, the easiest way to do this is to look at ‘all in costs’ - are you happy purchasing those Trousseaus at $37? If so, there is your answer.

Cheers

And to talk myself into it there is the exclusivity factor. I’m never going to find his wines on any retail shelf. Finding a Trousseau is hard enough as well. Now I just gotta find room for it and make sure the wife doesn’t see the expense.

I heard back that I am, in fact, wait-listed. So hopefully that means they are not having much trouble selling these wines.

In for a mixed 9 bottle order, Trousseau, Red Table Wine, Cinsault, etc. ~$5/btl shipping, pretty much in line with what I’m seeing from others nowadays. Really appreciate the friendly pricing, and happy to support a great program in these tough times for winemakers and growers.

I love the Cinsault and Trousseau so I buy those every year

It’s always been my favorite Sandlands, followed by the Mataro. But everything Tegan makes there is good, and even the ones that aren’t IMO as strong are still interesting and have personality.

Went in for a mixed case. It had been a couple releases since my last order, mostly due to storage, but these scratch an itch I’ve been missing. Really appreciate the pricing/QPR.

Surprised no one has mentioned the assyrtiko yet, it’s really a delicious wine

I wound up getting 4 Trousseau and 2 Assyrtiko. I have a couple Assyrtiko’s from previous releases but have not tried any yet.

Got my first allocation off the waitlist today and ended up getting a mixed 6 pack to find my favorites for future orders.

Carignane
Mataro
Zinfandel
Cinsault
Trousseau
Assyrtiko

Had the option of overnight as the same price as ground so went with that (California).

I’m excited to try these. Interesting varietals at seemingly very reasonable prices.

No one got any wishlisted wines?

I don’t think I had the option for any waitlist wines which was fine. I was offered 4 Trousseau so I grabbed all those.

It is a style preference. I really like the cinsault and the Trousseau, which are lower alcohol and more acid. While my wife likes them, maybe loves them as well, she really digs the Zinfandel which is a richer style than most of the sandlands offerings. All are great and this is a great release for an initial purchase so hope you enjoy.

I received an email granting my wishlist yesterday. Hope you did too!

Yep!

Mataro, Zin & Cinsault, great pricing with an enjoyable style

Great points, yes I’m existed to try these and then start fine tuning in future releases. Thanks!

Looks like a bunch of great choices. Particularly interested in the Chenin blanc.
