Sounds great I will bring a surprise wine for you
Cheers
I order maybe every other release and I’m usually allocated 2-4 of the smaller release bottlings and 9-12 of the table wines.
Mataro and Grenache are my next favorites after Trousseau in the Sandlands stable. But the reds are all good (maybe the Mission was more interesting than really good, to me), it’s mostly personal preference.
I haven’t found the love for the Chenin or Chardonnay, so I just leave those to y’all now.
The Chenin is my go-to “white with a chicken” wine. I find I drink them faster than I can get them.
Thanks to you guys got my order in, would have missed it. Got 6, trying to be disciplined but very excited. Looking at past notes, ironically the wine that seemed to speak the most to me was the Red Table Wine so got two of those. Still have bottles of the Trousseau I have not tried from past vintages so just got one until I have tried it. FWIW, shipping was $45 to MA which I just added onto my price in cellar tracker.
Don’t take up baking
You guys convinced me to try it.
Always yapping about the Trousseau. You Bastardo.
Don’t listen to Monks, Monks Lie.
I hope you got some Assyrtiko!
Sure did!
Hmm. 6-pack rose offer $187, shipping included (@J_Dornellas):
2x 2024 Mourvèdre Rosé - Contra Costa County
The vineyard was planted in the 1920s in what is classified as Dehli blow sand (decomposed granite that has been deposited by wind and water). 100% Mourvèdre (Mataro). Inspired by the light ethereal Rosé’s of Provence.
Ripe peaches, sea salt, and ginger. Bright, textured finish.
13.6% alc. 5 barrels produced .
4x 2024 Kirschenbloom - Lodi Rosé
68% Zinfandel, 32% Cinsault, 100% Kirschenmann vineyard. A dark macerated Rosé.
Ripe cherry skin, coriander, bees wax. Grippy, layered, and mouth-watering
13.4% alc. 10 barrels produced.
In for a six pack. Can’t go wrong with Sandlands, can’t go wrong with good rose, weather is warming up. What’s not to like?
I would be all the way in if I wanted that much rose, I would prefer that model every day of the week.
I would split with anyone interested in Chicago.
In for a case.
Love Sandlands but don’t drink much Rose. Gotta pass but i’m sure they’re awesome!
Pool game weak.
Real men/women drink white or sparkling wine at the pool ![]()
I stand by my statement.
