Not sure if you made the Dec 6 sheet public. I had to request access.
Fixed links for the above two events - anyone can enter themselves now
I might be able to stop by with some Riesling if you mean 5-Oct at noon. Would love to connect!
Yes Sun Oct 5th! Why do I always miss this up ![]()
Oh good! I have a SFJazz concert on the 4th. Now there’s no conflict.
Somehow I missed this thread before! I just finished up my WSET Diploma and live in the city. I’d love to join one of these meetups, so I’ll keep an eye on the thread. Sadly am out of town on the 5th or else I’d join.
@SamA would love to have you! @Colby_Scott can also add you to the thread for the Riesling Squad if you’d like!
I am obsessed with Riesling though I definitely have a lot to learn. Would love to be a part of that thread!
Signed up! Thanks James!
Hey all, just flagging that I created a separate post for a food/wine of Argentina meetup at my house in Rocridge on October 19. I’m about a 10-minute walk from the Rockridge bart. If you’re interested in coming, please comment in that post. Hope to see some of you there!
Another former WCWN, Parker, heck even Wine Spectator board local checking in. Interested in the Nebbiolo gig, would be myself and possibly lady friend. Larry Stein can vouch for my relatively well behaved demeanor haha. Will chime back in if able to commit.
Perhaps for a price… ![]()
Hahaha all things are negotiable
We may have a snag tomorrow btwn Martin’s kids and Hardly Strictly BART jams. Will confirm tomorrow AM.
James! Arriving late, but won’t overstay my welcome! Dan P
Gosh. I’m really wishing I could have joined for some of these events. Sound great. Hard getting away with younger kids and their schedules.
Anybody live on the west side of the city interested in maybe smaller get togethers, maybe folks that also have or tolerate kids? I’m in inner Richmond.
Also, by the way, for the Riesling folks, k&l had some library smith madrone recently come in. Looks like there is still some left. When we went there, Charlie was saying that it gets very interesting as it ages. I had to get some to try!
I live in Alamo Square, so not too far. Would be happy to come to the west side.
Thanks for the heads up on the Smith Madrone. I just bought one 2012 - there’s 1 2010 and 1 2012 left in stock if anyone else wants one!
Greetings All, I was just invited by @SusieG to join WB, and attended a fun event about Argentina foods & wines last night. I’m based primarily in the East Bay, but also spend part of my week in Marin. Looking forward to becoming a part of this greater SF community!
12/06 looks fantastic but might be a no-go. BUT is there a way to sign into the thread for future events? Many thanks. Was also at Susie’s Argentina night which was a complete success.
Hi Bob, I enjoyed meeting you at Susie’s Sunday. Tasting the Cheval des Andes blind was a great challenge, and I feel it was the most interesting wine of the evening. Cheers!
