San Francisco Offline Dinner 3/14/12 - Confirmed

I am putting the feelers out there for a wine dinner in SF or Marin in March on either Weds the 14th or the Saturday the 18th of March. If we have enough interest, I will be happy to do the legwork for a fun wine evening out.

Thanks,
Dave

We have two open seats at the moment. so if someone wants to bring a +1 we currently have the room.

I would be interested on Weds the 14th

I am available all of March except for 10th weekend.

I’m game. The 14th is good for me too.

I should be free.

We can also try to do a SF Giants thing like last time.

Cary, would be great to see you again. Its looking like the 14th is the preferred date. BTW I also have this offline posted on CellarTracker, so maybe we will get a few of the WB mingling with CT, or we could just have a gang fight, like WestSideStory or AnchorMan.

I will can either snap really well, or bring the trident.

If there is going to be more than one Dave there, I’m calling dibs on the trident.

This is looking like a Wednesday night thing.

I am proposing one of the following, but the location is open if others have a request.

Locations chosen above based on Free Wednesday corkage

What is the wine theme if any?

I may be interested if you have room for one more.

I could also suggest Bodega Bistro at Larkin/Eddy. We’ve done a bunch of fun wine dinners there and very little to no corkage…

Dave can you put me down as a maybe. As in maybe my S/O will allow me.

Wine Theme…How about “Cabernets NOT from California” or “Pinots NOT from California” or “French Reds”

I was thinking the location may dictate the theme. maybe difficult to go cabbing at a thai restaurant, no?

I think if we keep this to 10 or less that would be ideal.
You’re in, as well as E chin as optional
I will add Bodega Bistro to the list.

If things swing towards doing this on Saturday 18th, or even Friday 17th, I’ll be in town during that weekend and would be interested in joining. I can do either SF or Marin. Thanks.

Ramon

Bodega is a mixture of vietnamese street food and french…so we always end with their lamb chops. So could do Cab. Menu really works well for a wide range of wines.

I really don’t care about the theme, just wondering if there was one. I like the let place dictate!!!

Of course I’ll be BART’ing in from Oakland so I’d prefer something near or within a 10 min walk of BART station, if possible.

I would love to join. Count me in.

It looks like I’ll be in SF on business until March 10th (flying out on the 10th). Depending on the date I’d love to attend.

Edit - sorry missed the dates. wont be able to make it (bummer).

I’m in. Need to get a day pass from the family.
Thx for setting this up Dave.
(LST CT, gene m. WB)

That’s Great Gene. I will call the 4 restaurants on the list this weekend and narrow it down to those that are willing to accommodate 10 of us with minimal corkage.

Looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.

Dave will it be 3/14 for sure?

That’s the date I am making reservations for this weekend.

So Dave, you do realize that it isn’t proper to say San Fran, right? [wow.gif] [snort.gif]
