Anybody been here for meat? I read an article in Saveur on this place ten years ago and decided last week to call and see if they were still in business.
I’m getting a bone-in pork loin for Thanksgiving (yeah Bob, I understand the irony) and as cute and nostalgic as the article seemed to be, I just wonder if anyone of our community has been there.
TIA
Mr. Ricca
I have ben going to Joe and Emil’s place for close to 20 years.
Historically they used to raise and butcher their own beef, lamb and chickens. As they have become older, they no longer raise their own products. This having been written, their meats are still quite good, great in house made scrapple, banger sausages, slim jims, etc.
I highly recommend them.

Who the hell let Phil Ward in here? Todd, get out the BAN button!
Seriously, welcome Phil. Glad you found us. It’s an AOL reunion!
Thanks Phil,
It’s nice to see these guys still doing their thing.
I look forward to meeting them in person, and welcome to the BBB.
Now Mr. Wood about those turkey carnitas…

I’m thinkin’ using thighs might work, but you might have to add some schmaltz to keep it moist. Now that I think about it . . . hmm . . . duck confit carnitas.
Well Mr. Wood,
I see you are still out there lurking and harassing people just like the old AOL days!
Hope all is well?
All is good in the bucolic and verdant part of NJ.
Drinking well is the best revenge.
Phil
You know, this would be a great time to do a little offline in Lambertville! Not that far from Stockton at all, and Mr. Ward isjust down the road in Ringoes. Let’s do it! -mJ
I’m on my way right now to meet the near famous Maresca Bros. and me some pork loin.

Looks liek we’ll have to do breakfast with some vino then. LOL! We should definitely try to do a Lambertville offline in the future. There’s a few people that are close to there, and there are a few great BYO’s! -mJ
