Looks like Russell is moving up again. He’s taking the position of consulting winemaker for Chateau Boswell as per an email semnt out today. Congrats Russell!
It’s great to watch his progress within the industry. I haven’t had any of his wines as of yet but that will change soon enough. I would like to see some reds from him that are in the $30-$50 range, that’s a sweet spot for me and many others.
Just saw Russell and Victoria yesterday. Yes, he is very excited to have this opportunity and also thinks he’s taking this on at the right time for him. Mike, I’ll have notes up on the tasting I did with them later today. Brian, if you have the 09 Myriad Dr. Crane as a WOTY, I think you’ll be quite happy with the 10 version, as noted here…
Slainte,
Mike
Great to hear. I’m supposed to meet up with Mike on Monday for a tasting. Looking forward to it!
When the opportunity to be part of the Team at Chateau Boswell became available it was almost a dream come true for me. This is a dream position. Everything from the ownership team, vineyards and facilities are a perfect fit. We had to hit the ground running, but as harvest is hear in two weeks for our SB, we have finally got everything nailed down and we are ready to go. Please let me know if you are in the area, I am excited to show off this amazing facility.
All the best,
Russell Bevan
Welcome to the fun house here, Russell. Again, thanks so much to both you and Victoria for a lovely morning’s visit on Thursday.
All the best of luck in this.
Mike
Congratulations Russell!
great news Russell, hope to see you and Victoria sooner that later!
Congrats Russell - hope to get back up to visit you and Victoria soon!
Congratulations Russell.
Congratulations Russell ! Hope to get together soon!
This does seem like a great fit for everyone involved.
Cheers!
Marshall
Recently caught up with Russell and Victoria at Boswell; tasted the 2010 EE-Cab Franc/Cab blend, 2010 Babs, the 06 & 07 Syrahs…and of course the 2011 SB which I love…they are doing great work. For me I love the EE, the can franc component is beautiful.
