Robert Arnoux fans.....Pascal Lachaux

This has probably been covered, but I am curious as to what Arnoux fans think of Pascal Lachaux’s wines?
I am sipping on the 09’ Pinot Fin and I’m curious as to how the styles compare (yes I know it’s 09)
TIA

I have not had pre-1985 versions for comparison. But, in my limited experience, I find the wines to be a little too far on the oaky/extracted side for my tastes.

I posted an anecdote/note about it last summer.

He has some fans here, and the Suchots in particular gets big raves. I really think its a matter of stylistic preference. That said I’ll be happy if someone proves me wrong. Bring it on Kevin!

High class producer - with a certain house style (fragrant, cherry-cented, elegant) - if one dislikes it it´s just a mattrer of taste!
Excellent vineyards (RSV, CV, Echezeaux and VR Suchots …) … the oak is prominent in the youth but never too much and integrates beautifully (if patient) …
One of the top 5-6 RSV-producers … one of the two best Suchots (THE best until 2005), fine CV … and some more excellent Crus … very ageworthy …

New vineyard is Latricieres-Chambertin … looks promising, but no long experience with it …

Negative? Not cheap!
