Does anyone know why the upcoming Z-List shipment has replaced Pagani Ranch with the new Ridge version of Papera? Pagani is still available as an optional add-on, but not part of the core shipment. Over the years they’ve switched other wines in and out, but Pagani Ranch has always been there along with, of course, Geyserville and Lytton Springs.
I’ve always loved Pagani and it’s the wine that originally got me to sign up for Ridge’s Z-list many years ago. I know I can edit my shipment to add or include it, but Is there a back story behind this change?
I read somewhere on their website that the Green and Red was going to be new to the permanent rotation. I have no idea why though. More bang for their buck by switching it out? Like you said, you can call them and customize your order. I’ve been doing that for years with the ATP program which has become very stale.
Not a Zlist member, so don’t follow things closely, but my theory would be now that Carlisle isn’t taking that fruit, Ridge picked it up. Based on years of Carlisle experience, I think you will be happy with the Papera, but I also love Pagani.
