Anyone else get this? You get to order a ‘preview’ bottle of the 2006 Alesia Syrah Fairview Ranch Vineyard for $19. It comes out in the next offering for $29. They are also letting people buy more of the 2006 Alesia San Mateo if you want.

I’m in for the Syrah. Figure you gotta try it at $19…

If it’s as good as the 2003 Syrah I’ll be happy.

Such a great idea. I wish more wineries would do that. Sucks to order a bottle, love it, and not be able to buy more - or to order several, not like it, and be stuck with 'em. The price makes it irresistable too.

Keith is right–this is a great and much appreciated move that all self-confident wineries should consider wrt higher production bottlings. I’d imagine that most people take them up on this offer.

Sounds like they think its better than the 05 which for $30 is a terrific wine that flies in the face of the stereotypes thrown at Cali Syrah so often. I figure the $20 for the 06 is just a way to get another bottle on the cheap to me.

But it is a preview of a wine to be released in 2010 so that doesn’t really count, does it?
