Retailer Review: Tom K @ Wine Solutions (NC)

Their winter sale was already posted elsewhere, and generally great prices, but this is a different shout out. Tom special ordered some wine for me. It was only till the wines arrived that I realized I had ordered the wrong vintage. It It was clearly my mistake, which I reiterated over multiple emails. A special order cannot be returned, but Tom did his best to make it right. I appreciate that courtesy and level of service, and would order from again.

I will also give kudos to Tom and Wine Solutions. Usually the pricing represents a great deal, and at the very worst it is competitive. They’ve got a selection that seems pretty wide and fairly deep at the same time. But I would say the same as Shan above, it’s the service that matters most. I can drop Tom an email with questions, special requests, whatever, and he will get back to me personally. They’re extremely accommodating/understanding with shipping and holds. Tom has gone above and beyond multiple times to help me, to say the least. There’s only a handful of internet retailers that I use anymore, and Wine Solutions is at the top of that list. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

I’ll jump in here as well. Tom is a consummate professional, with good access to a broad selection of wines that he offers at great prices.

Always quick to communicate and easy to reach.

I highly recommend doing business with him.

Most shops have stuff in the back like this, they just need to have some moral fiber and try to reach out 1-2 times a year. The worst is when you learn the person passed away and have to notify through social media messaging. This happened in the covid years a few times, so sad!
