They have some interesting stuff, competitive prices, but I have never been able to reach a human being there. Tried emailing them several times, never got a reply, and whenever I call, no one answers.
I live here, never heard of them.
No physical address, P.O. Box only.
Wines That Work has a web site that barely works.
Inventory appears to be just a listing of wholesaler offerings, meaning they have no inventory, and most listings are probably outdated and/or unavailable. 11,350 listings on Winesearcher - utter bullshit.
On top of all that, they don’t respond to you. Why would you even want to pursue doing business with them?
I’ve never bought from them, but wine searcher shows them repeatedly with some of the best pricing in the country, so why not do some due diligence and ask the WB community for its input?
Of course, I agree with you that it’s probably a BS site, so maybe this thread can serve as a public service annoucement!
It actually looks and feels like a very new website. Nobody has spent time to obtain and upload images; 20 seconds spent on About Us and some pages that look like they are still under construction, plus a copyright date of 2013.
E-vents That Work LLC DBA Wines That Work. E-vents lists a 2008 copyright but I can’t find anything on them. Click on the link to E-vents That Work sends you to one of the pages on Wines That Work.
I had one transaction with them about two years ago. I bought a few bottles of Rasa at a very good price,
and that part of the purchase went well.
It seemed to be an extremely small-scale operation. Its web site was out of date, and the other wines that I
ordered were not available. It worked for that one purchase, and I think it could perform in the future, if the
stars align.
Nope, never heard of any of the three principals listed. I take it back that I had never heard of them, I believe someone inquired about them 2-3 years ago, and I had never heard of them then, and other than that query, I have never heard of them since.
